Vessel Operator – Commercial Voyage Operations (2KSC Shipping Co., Istanbul)

2KSC is strengthening its commercial operations team and is looking for a  Vessel Operator  to manage the  day-to-day commercial operation of voyage charter vessels . You will ensure each voyage is executed safely, efficiently, and profitably — from bunker planning to PDA negotiation and P&L tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily commercial operation of voyage charter vessels  from pre-load to completion, working closely with chartering, clients, and shipowners.
• Maintain and update voyage P&L  in  IMOS , ensuring accurate cost/revenue capture and early visibility of variances.
• Plan, order, and follow up on bunkers  (grades, quantities, timing), coordinating with suppliers and monitoring consumption/ROB.
• Communicate proactively with clients, shipowners, masters, and port agents  to ensure smooth port calls and cargo operations.
• Negotiate PDAs  with agents; review FDA and final DA to ensure correctness and cost discipline.
• Issue clear and timely  voyage instructions  per charter party terms and company standards.
• Monitor vessel schedules, performance, weather delays, congestion, and off-hire risks ; escalate issues and propose solutions.
• Maintain accurate operational records in  IMOS  for voyage history, bunkers, port data, and claims-relevant information.
• Monitoring vessel performance on daily bss.
• Laytime and detention calculation and negotiations with clients.

Requirements

• Experience:  Preferably  2–4+ years  in  vessel operations / post-fixture  (dry bulk, MPP, or related).
• IMOS: Hands-on, practical experience with IMOS is required  (no substitutes or similar systems).
• Strong understanding of voyage economics and how operational decisions impact profit and loss.
• Excellent English communication skills; confident in dealing with masters, owners, agents, and charterers.
• Comfortable with  PDA negotiations , bunker inquiries, and cost-control decision-making.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple voyages under time pressure.
• Based in  Istanbul  or willing to relocate (valid work authorization required).
