Job Purpose


The company is seeking a results-driven Yard Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day management of multiple yard facilities handling high-value materials. The ideal candidate will bring strong business ownership, operational discipline, and a commitment to safety and integrity.


You will oversee all aspects of yard operations—receiving, segregation, storage, repair, repurposing, and sales preparation—executed through third-party service contracts. The goal is to maximize asset value recovery while ensuring full compliance with HSE standards and company governance.


This role requires hands-on leadership to drive operational excellence, enforce a zero-incident safety culture, and mentor a team of Site Materials Coordinators. Success in this position means efficient material flow, minimized costs, and strong performance across the company investment recovery portfolio.


Responsibilities & Accountabilities

The Yard Operations Manager is accountable for driving operational excellence, maximizing asset recovery value, and enforcing strict safety and compliance standards across all operated yard facilities.

  • Serve as the most senior operational safety leader in the field, accountable for the daily execution of all safety policies, procedures, and directives as issued by the QHSE Manager.
  • Enforce a zero-incident safety culture by ensuring all OneSupply Oman and contract personnel strictly adhere to established company safety protocols, Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Works with field personnel to identify and immediately implement correct hazardous conditions or unsafe acts at the yard level. Implement corrective actions specified by QHSE to mitigate operational risks associated with heavy equipment, material handling, and scrap processing.
  • Oversee the proper execution of environmental controls, including the correct materials segregation, containments, NORM material, and documentation of all hazardous materials (HAZMAT) by the field teams, ensuring proper identification and disposition.
  • Lead the initial response to any on-site HSE incidents or emergencies.
  • Ensure all sites and operations maintain regulatory permits, and that all required safety and environmental incident reporting is timely and accurate.
  • Responsible for the third-party services contract, overseeing daily execution of all operational activities and ensuring full alignment with the company standards, objectives, and KPIs.
  • Oversee and approve contractor billing, ensuring costs are aligned with contracted rates and that non-standard service requests are properly authorized and tracked.
  • Develop and implement joint continuous improvement program with the services contractor to enhance efficiency, reduce operating costs, and improve asset recovery techniques.
  • Monitor contractor performance, ensuring issues are addressed promptly through structured performance reviews and corrective action plans.
  • Oversee the field material transactions and process, ensuring accurate count and weight estimates, materials documentation, and SAP inventory inputs done as per the process and in timely manner.
  • Enforce meticulous, best-in-class material segregation protocols to maximize value recovery.
  • Maintain real-time inventory accuracy across all yards using the SAP inventory system, conducting scheduled and unscheduled inventory yard surveillance and inventory counts to ensure SAP data integrity.
  • Manage company’s Assets Repair and Repurposing activities, ensuring all received / identified high value surplus equipment is systematically routed through an on-site or off-site process for necessary inspections, refurbishment, and re-certification.
  • Develop new/Improve current materials and inventory management process/procedures as needed.
  • Directly manage, mentor, and develop a team of Site Materials Coordinators who serve as the point of contact for safety, quality, and operations control at the yard level.
  • Ensure all subordinate staff and the contracted personnel receive regular all mandatory certified HSE training, as well as tactical training on materials handling, identification, segregation techniques
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the field Materials Coordination team, focusing on compliance adherence, accuracy rates, and operational efficiency.


Required Qualifications


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Operations Management
  • A Professional Certification in area of Supply Chain, Materials Management, or similar is highly desirable. CIPS is advantage.


Experience

  • Minimum 10 Years of progressive experience in industrial operations, supply chain management, asset recovery, inventory management, the metals/recycling industry, preferably within Oil & Gas industry.
  • Minimum 5 Years in a senior operational management role or multi-site supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in a role with direct contract management authority over third-party service providers and direct accountability for budget performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
