Role Overview
The Operations Manager will oversee and manage all procurement activities and operations-related functions to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely business performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, vendor management capabilities, a process-driven mindset, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials, products, and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Conduct negotiations for contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers.
- Oversee purchase orders, approvals, and procurement workflows to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Monitor supplier performance and address gaps through corrective actions and performance reviews.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, inventories, and documentation.
Operations Management
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operational activities to ensure smooth workflow across departments.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and improve operational processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Track operational KPIs, identify inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, finance, and production teams for seamless execution.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage resource allocation, scheduling, and operational planning.
Budgeting & Reporting
- Prepare and manage budgets for procurement and operations.
- Track expenses, forecast procurement needs, and ensure cost control.
- Generate periodic reports on procurement status, operational performance, vendor performance, and inventory levels.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior management.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement and operations team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and solve operational bottlenecks.
- Build strong internal and external relationships to support business growth.
