Job Overview:
As an operations Manager in the manufacturing engineering industry, you will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency, productivity, and quality within our manufacturing operations. Your role encompasses overseeing the production processes, managing resources effectively, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives while upholding high standards of quality and safety in the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Planning and Strategy:
Develop and implement strategic plans for manufacturing operations, aligning them with organizational objectives and customer requirements.
Analyze production schedules, capacity, and demand forecasts to optimize resource allocation and meet production targets.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.
2. Production Management:
Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, workflow management, and inventory control.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies throughout the production process.
Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot production issues, resolve technical challenges, and implement design improvements.
3. Resource Allocation and Optimization:
Manage resources efficiently, including manpower, equipment, materials, and facilities, to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce lead times.
Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials and components.
4. Quality Assurance and Control:
Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
Conduct regular inspections, audits, and process reviews to identify opportunities for quality improvement and risk mitigation.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities and improve overall product quality and reliability.
5. Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and coach a diverse team of manufacturing professionals, providing guidance and support to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
Promote teamwork, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across departments to achieve common goals and objectives.
Identify training needs and opportunities for skills development to enhance the capabilities and effectiveness of the manufacturing workforce.
6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track manufacturing performance, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting operational achievements, challenges, and recommendations for action.
Conduct performance reviews and benchmarking exercises to evaluate competitiveness and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in operations management within the manufacturing engineering industry, with a strong background in production management and process improvement.
- Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, technologies, and best practices, with a focus on lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence in a dynamic production environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and performance improvement.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001), safety regulations (e.g., OSHA), and environmental standards applicable to manufacturing operations.
Proficiency in manufacturing software and ERP systems for production planning, inventory management, and performance monitoring.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in operations management, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or project management is desirable.

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
