Operations Manager

About Us

We’re a small, startup building a premium mobile juice/smoothie brand across LA (hikes, studios, events). We’re hiring a hands-on operator to help launch from the ground up and run daily execution with consistency.

The Role

You will run day-to-day operations across produce purchasing, kitchen prep quality, systems/recipes, and pop-up execution. You’ll also oversee our Fruit Cart Attendant to ensure they’re on time, stocked, and converting samples into sales.

What You’ll Do

Produce + Purchasing

• Buy produce and supplies (produce, packaging, ice, etc.)
• Manage vendors, pricing, par levels, and freshness
• Reduce waste with FIFO + weekly inventory checks

Kitchen Prep + Quality Control

• Lead/coordinate prep team; ensure orders are made correctly + consistently
• Implement checklists for prep, labeling, portioning, and storage
• QA final products (taste, presentation, packaging, accuracy)

Systems + Recipe Book

• Build and maintain trackers (inventory, production plan, sales, waste)
• Create/maintain recipe book (ingredients, steps, portions, cost per item)
• Document SOPs for shopping, prep, packing, pop-up setup, and closeout

Pop-Up Execution + Sales Oversight

• Ensure pop-ups launch on time (setup, signage, stocking, cleanliness)
• Oversee Fruit Cart Attendant performance:
• On-time arrival and readiness
• Sampling flow + conversion to purchases
• Upselling bundles/add-ons
• Keeping cart clean, stocked, and moving
• Run daily close-out: counts, notes, issues, next-day needs

What We’re Looking For

• Experience running food/bev ops (juice/smoothie/catering preferred)
• Strong quality control + consistency mindset
• Organized, proactive, and calm under pressure
• Comfortable with early mornings + outdoor pop-ups
• Can manage people (prep support + cart attendant)
• Tech-comfortable (Google Sheets, basic reporting, Square is a plus)
• Reliable transportation + driver’s license preferred
• ServSafe a plus

• Prep is accurate, consistent, and on time
• Low waste + no stockouts
• Recipe book + SOPs are built and followed
• Pop-ups start on time, stay stocked, and look premium
• Fruit Cart Attendant hits sales/conversion goals and stays accountable

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $100.00 per day
