Operations Manager — Job Description
About the role
Lead and optimize day-to-day business operations to ensure efficient, scalable, and cost-effective delivery of products/services. Partner with cross-functional teams (finance, HR, product, customer support, supply chain) to translate strategic goals into reliable operational processes and measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across functions (fulfillment, facilities, customer service, vendor management, and internal services).
- Design, implement, and improve operational processes, SOPs, and KPIs to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, vendor contracts, procurement, and operational spend.
- Coordinate resource planning, capacity management, and workforce scheduling to meet demand.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) and implement automation where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards; own audits and remediation plans.
- Drive operational performance through data analysis, dashboards, and regular reporting to leadership.
- Manage teams: hiring, training, performance reviews, career development, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Oversee incident management and operational risk mitigation; run post-incident reviews and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with product/engineering to operationalize new features or services and manage rollout risks.
- Maintain vendor relationships and manage SLAs; negotiate terms and enforce delivery quality.
- Implement and maintain tools/systems for ops (ERP, WMS, CRM, BI tools) and lead migrations/integrations.
Required qualifications
- 5+ years experience in operations, program management, or related role; 2+ years managing teams.
- Strong experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
- Demonstrated experience in budget management, vendor negotiation, and operational planning.
- Proficiency with data analysis and operational metrics; comfortable with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) and Excel.
- Experience with operational systems (ERP, WMS, CRM) and implementing/new tooling.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Certifications: Lean/Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), PMP, or equivalent.
- Experience in the company’s industry (e-commerce, logistics, SaaS, manufacturing, healthcare) or scaling startups.
- Familiarity with automation platforms, RPA, and supply chain/logistics technologies.
- Experience with change management and large-scale program rollouts.

Pay: QAR99.30 - QAR289.16 per hour
