Company Overview

Tanajib Operation and Maintenance Company operates a Power Cogeneration Plant and Seawater Desalination Plant constructed as part of the Marjan Field Project of Saudi Aramco, with a net capacity of approximately 940MW of electricity generation and steam output of approximately 1,084 tons per hour, along with a desalinated water output of approximately 19,470 cubic meters per day.

Vacancy

Reporting directly to the Plant General Manager, the Operations Manager will lead the Operations Department, including Shift Team Leaders, Operations Staff, and Operations Trainees, to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant. The role may also deputize the Plant General Manager and Plant Superintendent as required.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for plant operational performance, availability, efficiency, safety compliance, and environmental performance, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, Saudi Aramco requirements, grid code requirements, and operational targets.

The role requires strong practical and leadership experience in modern Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plants, including plant start-up, commissioning, operational protocols, and Safety from the System activities. The successful candidate will oversee operational systems, Permit to Work implementation, operational readiness, budgeting, KPI delivery, and coordination between Operations and Maintenance teams.

Education & Experience

• Degree in Engineering/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification in power generation or industrial operations.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in power plant operations or large continuous process plants, including commissioning activities.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in line management and leading operations teams.
• Strong experience in CCGT operations, Gas Turbines, HRSGs, and auxiliary systems is preferred.
• Previous experience in plant start-up, operational readiness, and establishing operational departments is highly desirable.
