Operations Manager

Holland, MI (On‑site)
Compensation:
$125,000–$150,000 base salary + 5% bonus (paid quarterly)

Overview
We are seeking a
hands‑on Operations Manager
to lead all manufacturing operations at our Holland, MI facility. This role is responsible for overseeing both
high‑volume production
and
low‑volume/custom job shop operations
, driving continuous improvement, and developing a strong, engaged operations team. This is a key leadership role with direct visibility to senior leadership and significant autonomy.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop Operations Supervisors and Production Scheduling teams, holding teams accountable through firm but fair leadership

Provide hands‑on leadership across daily operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are met

Establish structure, workflows, standard work, and accountability throughout operations

Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives, applying practical Lean manufacturing principles

Oversee production scheduling, material flow, and value streams across multiple product lines

Monitor and manage operational metrics, KPIs, and performance dashboards

Utilize strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis skills to implement long‑term solutions

Partner cross‑functionally with leadership on operational planning and execution

Maintain presence across shifts as needed to support plant operations

Proven

who has progressed from
Supervisor to Manager

Experience in
both high‑volume manufacturing and low‑volume/job shop environments

Steel manufacturing experience required

Strong organizational and process improvement background

Experience managing supervisors and indirect teams

Solid business and operational acumen, including exposure to metrics, ERP systems, scheduling, and material flow

Approachable, proactive, and team‑oriented leadership style with strong communication skills
