Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Customer serv to lead our team and oversee daily business operations across multiple departments. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage employee orientation, training & development programs to enhance team performance and engagement.
  • Oversee recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing processes and selecting qualified candidates for various roles.
  • Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management with accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory control, purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and merchandising to maximize profitability.
  • Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost store visibility and sales growth.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining high standards of communication skills, phone etiquette, and problem resolution.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to promote communication skills development and foster a positive work environment.
  • Manage store budgets, sales targets, and retail math calculations to meet organizational goals.
  • Supervise shift management responsibilities including cashiering duties, stock stocking, and inventory audits.
  • Implement effective loss prevention measures through supervision of security protocols and inventory checks.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience within a retail or grocery store setting with supervising responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer bases.
  • Experience with recruiting, employee orientation, training & development programs.
  • Proficiency in payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory management systems, POS systems, and retail math.
  • Knowledge of retail sales techniques including merchandising, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability in budgeting, cash handling procedures, and store financial management.
  • Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in a retail environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control, inventory audits, and administrative tasks.
  • Ability to handle customer inquiries professionally using phone etiquette while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
  • Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous but not required.
