ROLE SUMMARY
The Operations Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the performance of Royal Case's manufacturing, logistics, inventory, and warehousing functions. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this individual translates strategic priorities into daily execution, drives continuous improvement, and leads cross-functional teams across multiple operational domains. This role requires floor presence, operational rigor, and the ability to collaborate effectively with procurement, sales, quality, and finance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manufacturing
▪ Manage production scheduling, capacity planning, and workflow to meet on-time delivery targets.
▪ Lead continuous improvement efforts (lean, 5S, standard work) targeting reductions in scrap, rework, and downtime.
▪ Partner with Quality to maintain ISO 9001 compliance and monitor KPIs including throughput, OEE, and first-pass yield.
Logistics & Supply Chain
▪ Oversee domestic and international freight operations, carrier performance, and import coordination with Asia-based sourcing partners.
▪ Serve as the escalation point for logistics disruptions; ensure compliance with import/export regulations and C-TPAT requirements.
Inventory Management
▪ Maintain inventory accuracy across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods through cycle count programs and ERP reconciliation.
▪ Optimize inventory levels in partnership with procurement to balance carrying costs against service requirements.
Warehousing & Fulfillment
▪ Direct receiving, pick/pack, and shipping operations to achieve accurate, damage-free, and on-time order fulfillment.
▪ Maintain safe, efficient warehouse layout and monitor fulfillment accuracy, on-time shipment rate, and dock-to-stock cycle time.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Required
▪ 5+ years of operations experience in manufacturing and/or distribution, with 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
▪ Hands-on experience spanning manufacturing operations, logistics, inventory management, and/or warehousing.
▪ ERP proficiency for production, inventory, and logistics management (NetSuite preferred).
▪ Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement with measurable results in cost, quality, or throughput.
▪ Strong analytical and decision-making skills; ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams.
▪ Willingness to travel internationally to Asia-based facilities (~15–20%; passport required).
Preferred
▪ Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
▪ Experience with overseas factory management, supplier auditing, or Asia-based sourcing.
▪ Lean, Six Sigma, or formal process improvement certification.
▪ Background in protective case manufacturing, ATA cases, or contract sewing operations.
