Job Description: Operations Manager – Events (Guest Handling & Event Execution)
Position Overview:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth guest handling and flawless on-ground event execution. This role requires strong coordination skills, leadership, and an ability to manage multiple teams while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:1. Guest Handling & Client Coordination
- Ensure seamless guest management and hospitality at all events.
- Coordinate with clients to understand event requirements, schedules, and expectations.
- Oversee check-ins, guest flow, seating arrangements, and VIP protocols.
- Handle escalations, queries, and special requests from guests or clients.
2. Event Execution
- Lead and supervise on-ground teams including bartenders, service staff, coordinators, and vendors.
- Ensure timely setup of all event elements—venue layout, counters, bar setup, décor, and equipment.
- Monitor event timeline and ensure all activities run as per plan.
- Execute contingency plans in case of last-minute changes or operational issues.
3. Staff Management
- Allocate manpower as per event requirement and ensure all team members are briefed properly.
- Conduct pre-event and post-event briefings.
- Ensure staff discipline, grooming standards, and punctuality.
- Coordinate with HR/operations for manpower sourcing.
4. Vendor & Resource Coordination
- Liaise with vendors for equipment, logistics, décor, and other event-related services.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and proper setup.
- Maintain inventory of event supplies and bar essentials.
5. Quality Control & Service Standards
- Monitor service quality throughout the event.
- Ensure adherence to brand standards and SOPs.
- Proactively resolve operational issues to provide a smooth guest experience.
