Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Team Management: Supervise multi-disciplinary teams including CCTV technicians, fire alarm technicians, and project engineers; prepare work schedules, assign duties.
- Project Management: Manage budgets, resources, and project timelines for system upgrades, new installations, and modifications, ensuring project delivery is on time and within budget.
- Maintenance and Quality Control: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and conduct routine inspections, system audits, and health checks to ensure continuous, optimal performance.
- Operational Oversight: Direct and coordinate all activities related to the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of CCTV, fire alarm, fire suppression, and access control systems.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all systems and operations strictly adhere to local and international standards, including NFPA codes, Unified Facility Codes (UFC), QCDD, and MOI regulations.
Key Requirements and Skills
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
- Experience: Significant experience in the operation, maintenance, and project management of fire protection, security, and low-voltage (ELV) systems, often 5-10+ years in a senior or managerial role, preferably in the Middle East.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP, UPDA (Urban Planning and Development Authority) certification in Qatar, and Civil Defence approvals are highly valued.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of various systems, including IP and analog cameras, NVRs/DVRs, fire suppression systems, pumps, and control panels.
- Local Regulations: Strong understanding of Qatari regulations, particularly those from the QCDD and MOI.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, communication (English and Arabic), problem-solving, and team management skills are essential. A valid Qatar driving license is also often required.
