Operations Manager (Freight Forwarding)

Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire freight forwarding operations, including Air and Sea Freight, Import and Export, and Customs processes. This role requires a strategic leader who can ensure operational excellence, drive business growth, and maintain the highest standards of service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all Air and Sea Freight activities, ensuring efficiency and compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
• Manage Import/Export operations, including LCL and FCL shipments, documentation, and customs clearance.
• Supervise customs declaration processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all permit and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, regional partners, and global agents to support sales pipelines and long-term business growth.
• Monitor and analyze customer satisfaction results and KPI performance to drive service improvement initiatives.
• Negotiate and evaluate service providers, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and motivate teams to achieve operational and financial performance targets.
• Review operational and sales reports to measure productivity and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Freight Forwarding industry.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial role overseeing logistics operations.
• In-depth knowledge of Air & Sea Freight, Import/Export procedures, Customs Declaration, LCL/FCL, and permits.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs compliance.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to develop strategies, identify operational gaps, and implement effective action plans.
• Results-driven, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• A collaborative team player who fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
