Operations Manager (Logistics & Customs Operations)

Job Overview
Golden Arcus International is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across import logistics, customs clearance coordination, and warehouse distribution. This role focuses on managing the end-to-end operational flow of import shipments, ensuring smooth coordination between freight forwarding, customs brokerage, trucking, and warehouse teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in logistics operations and customs clearance processes and can effectively coordinate shipment operations with internal teams and external logistics partners.

Key ResponsibilitiesLogistics & Import Operations

  • Manage daily operations related to import shipments and freight forwarding coordination.
  • Coordinate with ocean carriers, airlines, trucking companies, and logistics partners.
  • Monitor shipment progress from port arrival to warehouse delivery.
  • Resolve operational issues including delays, documentation discrepancies, and delivery coordination.

Customs Brokerage Coordination

  • Work closely with customs brokers and brokerage teams to manage import clearance processes.
  • Review and coordinate import documentation including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Bill of Lading.
  • Support customs clearance processes and assist with resolving customs holds, exams, or documentation issues.
  • Ensure operations align with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements.

Warehouse & Distribution Coordination

  • Coordinate with warehouse teams on cargo receiving, inventory intake, and outbound shipments.
  • Ensure smooth transition from customs clearance to warehouse processing.
  • Assist in coordinating drayage, trucking, and delivery scheduling.

Operations Management

  • Supervise operations staff and support cross-department coordination.
  • Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics and import operations.
  • Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for efficiency improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or import operations.
  • Experience coordinating with customs brokers or brokerage teams.
  • Familiarity with U.S. import procedures and customs clearance workflows.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and operational priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or 3PL companies.
  • Knowledge of CBP import regulations and compliance.
  • Experience coordinating drayage, trucking, and warehouse operations.
  • Bilingual ability (English + Chinese or Spanish).
  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) preferred but not required.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
