Operations Manager - Steel

ROLE OBJECTIVE

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in handling steel industry by-products. This role will be responsible for on-the-ground operations in Qatar, overseeing material processing, logistics coordination, and operational execution at the plant level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage day-to-day operations related to EAF slag and steel by-products processing

• Coordinate shipments and logistics between Qatar and United Arab Emirates.

• Oversee material handling, blending operations, and processing activities on-site

• Operate closely with the client facilities, working from a container office on-site

• Ensure efficient use of heavy equipment (e.g., excavators) and optimize raw material

handling

• Supervise operational workflows, ensuring productivity and safety standards

• Provide technical support for logistics and material handling when required

• Travel occasionally to Dubai to support commercial and logistics interfaces

• Reporting to Regional Operations Director & EMEA Managing Director

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 10 years of experience in steel industry operations, specifically EAF slag or

similar by-products

• Experience with heavy equipment operations and raw material processing

• Proven ability to manage site operations in industrial environments

• Familiarity with logistics coordination and cross-border shipment handling

• Willingness to be based full-time in Qatar and travel regionally when needed
