Operations Manager-Textiles/Apparel

Key Responsibilities

• Production Oversight: Manage and optimize production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while minimizing downtime and waste. Coordinate with production teams to implement efficient manufacturing processes tailored to textile and apparel production, including weaving, dyeing, cutting, sewing, and finishing.
• Quality Control: Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols to maintain product standards. Conduct regular audits, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with industry regulations such as ISO standards and textile-specific certifications (e.g., GOTS for organic textiles).
• Supply Chain Management: Oversee inventory levels, raw material procurement (e.g., fabrics, yarns, dyes), and logistics to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate terms and resolve issues.
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop a team of supervisors, technicians, and operators. Foster a positive work environment, promote safety practices, and handle performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
• Cost Management: Monitor operational costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement budgets for labor, materials, and equipment maintenance. Utilize data analytics to track efficiency metrics and reduce overheads.
• Health, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure the factory adheres to occupational health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and labor laws. Conduct safety training and risk assessments specific to textile machinery and chemical handling.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for process improvements using tools like Six Sigma, Kaizen, or ERP systems. Analyze production data to enhance throughput and reduce defects in apparel manufacturing.
• Reporting and Collaboration: Prepare regular reports on operational performance for senior management. Work closely with other departments such as sales, design, and finance to align operations with business objectives.

Pay: Rs250,000.00 - Rs300,000.00 per month
