operations manager(Air&Ocean Freight)-Bilingual Chinese/English

Job Summary

Golden Arcus is a U.S.-based logistics company with operations in Los Angeles and Chicago. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage our air freight, ocean freight, customs, and warehouse operations.

This is a hands-on management role for someone who understands international logistics end-to-end and can lead bilingual teams while coordinating with airlines, steamship lines, customs brokers, trucking companies, warehouses, and clients.

Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin required) is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage daily air and ocean freight operations, including import/export shipments

Supervise OP teams and ensure smooth execution from booking to final delivery

Coordinate with airlines, steamship lines, customs brokers, trucking companies, and warehouses

Oversee customs clearance processes and ensure regulatory compliance

Resolve operational issues, delays, and exceptions efficiently

Monitor KPIs, shipment timelines, and service quality

Optimize SOPs and improve operational efficiency across departments

Communicate with domestic and overseas partners in both English and Chinese

Support management in scaling operations and improving internal workflows

Qualifications

3–5+ years of experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations

Previous team lead or management experience preferred

Strong knowledge of air freight, ocean freight, customs, and warehouse operations

Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin required; Cantonese a plus)

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Experience working with U.S. and overseas partners

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: USD $80,000 – $120,000 per year (based on experience)
