Operations Room Watch Keeper-Nauru Deployment

Position Title: Operations Room Watch Keeper
Department: Operations
Location: Republic of Nauru – Nauru Medical Centre (NMC)
Must be willing to go Nauru

Key Responsibilities

• Occupy and operate hospital operations room according to shift schedule.
• Monitor CCTV systems for any irregular activities.
• Operate telephone and radio communication systems in the hospital operations room.
• Monitor and dispatch GMSS duty drivers according to shift and operational needs.
• Monitor and dispatch medical emergency response teams.
• Report any equipment faults, maintenance requirements and administrative needs to the relevant appointed manager/supervisor.
• Track EMR system for any irregular data, and/or important patient data that needs to be communicated with management.
• Track and assess political, security, and operational developments that may impact NMC or client operations.
• Monitor open-source and proprietary news and social media platforms for real-time incident detection across Nauru and the broader region.
• Conduct random or scheduled incident simulations with medical and operations staff.
• Maintain and update operational dashboards and trackers.
• Track EMR system for any irregular data, and/or important patient data that needs to be communicated with management.
• Escalate security incidents promptly and accurately in accordance with internal protocols.
• Provide timely and concise reporting to management and internal teams during emerging events or crises situations.
• Coordinate with regional teams, vendors, and external stakeholders during live incidents
• Track and assess political, security, and operational developments that may impact client operations
• Support operational management with incident data, situational awareness, and logistics coordination

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in watch keeper or similar roles.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in incident management.
• Experience in monitoring CCTV systems and video footage analyses.
• Experience in dispatching emergency services is preferable.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in communicating through radio and telecom systems.
• Competent in information analysis and report writing.
• Competence in MS Office (Word and Excel)

Working Conditions

• Based at Nauru Medical Centre with direct involvement in Country wide movement and operations.
• Willing to work up to 12-hour shifts during night or daytime.
• Position is static in a controlled environment.
