Job Description

The Global Business Services Control Tower Support Specialist (Operations Specialist) supports customer transportation needs. He/She analyzes customers’ contractual needs, conducts research, prepares reports, performs root cause analysis and identifies critical escalation paths to ensure customer shipments arrive as contractually obligated. This position reviews customer standard operating procedures (SOPs), master operating plans (MOPs) by service type, and systems configuration to ensure correct at-risk logic is in place, tracks shipments and orders, prepares reports, and updates customer transits and profiles. This position maintains ongoing relationships with internal customers and assists with customer maintenance. The Global Business Services Control Tower Support Specialist provides service failure recovery management. He/She provides back-up support to customer accounts and provides customer training on systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics-Preferred
  • 2–4 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or customer support
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $21.45 p/h in our lowest geographic market up to $39.70 p/h in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
