Operations Superintendent - Carbon Capture & Liquefaction Plant (8-Month Contract, UAE)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Superintendent with strong industrial plant and gas processing expertise to join an innovative pilot project in Fujairah, UAE.

The selected candidate will support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a cutting edge Carbon Capture and CO Liquefaction Plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day to day operations at the pilot plant, ensuring adherence to operating procedures and HSE standards.
• Monitor and optimise gas processing and cryogenic processes (pressure, temperature, flow, purity) to maintain product quality and efficiency.
• Oversee start up, shutdown, and transitions between operating modes.
• Lead and mentor operators/contractors, promoting a strong safety culture.
• Analyse operational data and provide technical insights to optimise plant performance.

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years' experience in industrial gas, gas processing, petrochemical, or process plant operations, with strong exposure to cryogenic or CO handling processes (cryogenic/CO experience is a plus).
• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent hands on expertise).
• Proven supervisory/leadership experience in plant operations.
• Strong knowledge of HSE systems, permit to work, and industrial risk management.
• Medically fit for a hands on supervisory role; committed to high safety standards.

Only candidates with proven gas processing / industrial plant operations experience and supervisory/leadership background will be considered.
