Operations Supervisor

Roeslein Renewables, a division of Roeslein & Associates, develops and operates Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) projects across the United States. We partner with landowners, farmers, and communities to reduce on-farm emissions, restore native prairies, and deliver long-term value through regenerative energy solutions. Our team captures biogas from agricultural waste and upgrades it into RNG for pipeline injection. Position Summary
The Operations Supervisor will oversee daily biogas facility operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while managing staff, schedules, and operational budgets. This role supports technicians in the field, coordinates maintenance, enforces safety protocols, and fosters a collaborative, high-performing team environment. This role will support our operations in both Brodhead, WI, and Avalon, WI.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily biogas collection operations and maintenance at assigned facilities.
• Lead, coach, and support technicians to optimize facility performance.
• Develop and manage staff schedules in compliance with biosecurity protocols.
• Coordinate regular equipment maintenance and facility upkeep; assist with major maintenance projects.
• Enforce and oversee safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out, confined space entry, and PPE use.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide coaching, discipline, and recognition as needed.
• Procure tools, equipment, and materials necessary for operations.
• Collaborate with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Human Resources (HR) teams.
• Travel up to 20% between project sites and St. Louis headquarters.
• Step in to operate facilities as needed.
• Promote a positive work environment aligned with company goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Work is performed in farm and processing environments with exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, noise, and varying weather.
• Regularly required to walk, stand, lift (up to 50 lbs.), push, pull, climb, and wear PPE.
• Must pass a limited physical exam and fit test for a full-face respirator (worn 4–6 hours on-site).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; further education is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of plant operations experience preferred; supervisory experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in biogas processing or similar plant operations strongly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows; experience with SharePoint, Ignition, MaintainX, and GoCanvas is a plus.
• Strong math skills and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects.
• High energy, motivation, and ability to work collaboratively across all levels.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and some holidays.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
