Operations Supervisor

Job Summary
Martinez Cleaning seeks a dynamic and energetic Operations Supervisor to lead our staff on a daily basis. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our cleaning staff during the afternoon to evening shifts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, providing feedback, training new staff, overseeing special projects, and contributing to the growth and success of our company.

Duties

1. Location Inspections:

Travel from one work site to another in order to:

  • Conduct regular inspections of assigned locations.
  • Check supply levels, equipment, and cleanliness standards.

2. Feedback and Performance Reviews:

  • Provide constructive feedback to cleaning staff, highlighting areas for improvement and recognition of excellence via monthly inspections.
  • Participate in periodic performance reviews for cleaning staff, identifying strengths and growth opportunities, minimum once a year.

3. Meetings and Communication:

  • Attend weekly meetings with other supervisors to discuss goals, assignments, and feedback.
  • Prepare and present notes and feedback on locations and staff during meetings.

4. Training and Development:

  • Train new cleaning staff on work procedures, techniques, and equipment usage, utilizing company training outline.
  • Assist in setting up new accounts, including supply closet organization and site walkthroughs.
  • Oversee special projects such as periodic and summer cleaning initiatives as needed.

5. Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, feedback, and training records via provided digital forms.
  • Supervise designated team schedules and hours.
  • Coordinate supply deliveries for specified locations in conjunction with other departments.

6. Special Projects

  • Oversee or perform one-time projects such as Carpet Cleaning, Strip and Wax jobs and Deep Cleaning projects.
  • Be available on-call for weekend duties including monitoring staff check ins, managing planned/scheduled one-time projects and emergencies.

Skills

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • English Proficiency Strongly Required
  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish Preferred
  • Proficiency with digital platforms including computers and mobile devices.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively with various groups within the business.
  • Open for nights and weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
