Operations Supervisor

Role Overview:

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring efficient workforce utilization, optimal fleet management, and high service standards. The role focuses on maintaining productivity benchmarks, controlling operational costs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Operations Supervisor also plays a key role in resolving customer issues, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring smooth operational flow across all outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

  • Plan daily workloads and effectively utilize the workforce to meet scheduled deadlines.
  • Monitor and ensure employees adhere to daily and weekly productivity benchmarks.
  • Supervise all daily activities of the operations unit, including fleet coordination, vehicle allocation, after-sales services, and driver assignment.
  • Ensure vehicle availability and maintain vehicle condition across all outlets as per operational requirements.
  • Follow up on replacement bookings for out-of-service vehicles and arrange timely replacements.

Customer Service & Issue Resolution

  • Handle irate customers and resolve service-related issues promptly and professionally.
  • Provide quick and effective solutions to office- and operations-related issues.

Fleet & Driver Management

  • Oversee the pickup of out-of-service vehicles from counters as a priority.
  • Manage drivers effectively to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Prepare and monitor driver duty schedules.
  • Ensure smooth operations while minimizing driver overtime.
  • Review daily driver log sheets to ensure optimal productivity.

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure all staff adhere to company policies, standards of work, customer service expectations, and uniform guidelines.
  • Monitor and control operational costs.
  • Ensure timely submission and processing of supplier invoices.

Coordination & Legal Liaison

  • Liaise with PR-related functions and requirements.
  • Follow up on the release of impounded or disputed vehicles from police custody.
  • Coordinate documentation and act as a mediator between customers and the PR/legal department in case of disputes.
  • Ensure timely vehicle registration renewals and proper documentation.

Monitoring, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct audits and surprise inspections of vehicles across locations to assess condition and detect misuse.
  • Review and compare monthly overtime reports against previous months.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with operations staff to evaluate performance and address operational challenges.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Atleast 5–8 years’ experience in car rental, fleet, or transport operations
  • Strong operations and team management skills, with experience supervising drivers and staff
  • Good knowledge of fleet management, vehicle allocation, and compliance processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle customer complaints effectively
  • Good coordination, follow-up, and cost control awareness
  • Good communication skills (English; Arabic is a plus)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Valid Oman driver’s license (mandatory)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO500.000 - RO650.000 per month
