Operations Supervisor

Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Status: Full-Time / Exempt

Reports To: Regional Supply Operations Manager

Position Summary

Oversees daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, compliance, and strong team performance. Acts as the primary on-site leader and liaison between employees, customers, and regional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for Marquette operations.
• Oversee daily workflows; identify and resolve bottlenecks and staffing gaps.
• Lead, coach, and support a small team; assist with hiring and onboarding.
• Communicate operational issues, insights, and customer concerns to regional leadership.
• Drive process improvements and support achievement of business goals.
• Maintain facility, equipment, and supply needs.

Operations & Logistics

• Ensure equipment availability and maintenance (fleet, forklifts, etc.).
• Optimize delivery routes and ensure timely, safe service.

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and company policies.
• Partner with Manager; conduct forklift certifications and driver road tests.
• Track licenses, DOT medical cards, and driver qualifications, using approved system

Communication & Teamwork

• Prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Maintain strong communication with leadership, sales, and team members

Qualifications

Minimum

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead a small team and manage multiple priorities

Preferred

• Experience managing a site with direct reports
• MSHA, DOT, forklift experience
• Mining or industrial operations experience
