The Operations Supervisor oversees all Guest Services Agents and Room Attendants to ensure efficient and smooth operations for producing excellent feedback and guest satisfaction. Essential duties include but are not limited to: ensuring proper completion of all duties of the front desk staff, executing proper procedures for room cleanliness, directing and coordinating reservations and guest services activities and responding in a professional and courteous manner to arriving, departing and in-house guests by providing accurate and timely information and services.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Director of Rooms Division in implementing and enforcing policies and procedures of the front desk and housekeeping. Help to train and mentor room attendants and guest service agents.
  • Possess the skills and knowledge to supervise and support other employees, as required, to maintain efficient service. Cross train in all shifts at the front desk and train in cleaning guest rooms.
  • Maintain proper cleanliness throughout the guest rooms. Secure and maintain inventory of front desk, housekeeping, and laundry supplies.
  • Respond promptly to guest comments, complaints, and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Prepare room attendants with daily room assignments and inspecting guest rooms upon completion. Know current status of guest rooms and individual guests.



  • Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned
  • Provide overnight, on-call assistance in case of emergencies.
  • Liaison between the Sales Department and Front Desk for group needs and arrivals


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Formal Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    Specific Job Knowledge: Previous Front Desk or Housekeeping Supervisor experience required
    Minimum Work Experience: 3-5 years in a hospitality environment OR Bachelors Degree, 2-3 years of experience

    Work Skills:
    • Must enjoy working with the public and be able to professionally handle any conflicts,
    • guest issues, or emergencies that may arise
    • Experience handling cash and recording sales transactions required
    • Excellent oral communication and organizational skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively without immediate supervision
    • Ability to multi-task efficiently
    • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as schedule requires
    • Computer literacy and familiarity with WIN, MS Word, Excel, PMS, POS and Outlook preferred
    • First Aid and CPR certification preferred; training can be provided
    • Equipment Knowledge: Custodial equipment, PC, General AV

hours, Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning.

Salary Posting Information:
This position falls within hourly grade 11 and the range for this position is $19.90-24.86/hr. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate’s qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
