Operator - Processing

JOB PURPOSE
The position holder is responsible for the execution and monitoring of Ultra High Temperature (UHT) processing for dairy and juice products within the processing section (Milk, Flavored Milk, Juices, and Nectars). The role requires sound knowledge of long-shelf-life product treatment and strict adherence to food safety and quality standards to minimize the risk of product contamination during UHT operations.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Operate and monitor UHT treatment systems and Aseptic (Al Safe) tanks in accordance with approved procedures.

Verify and complete pre-operation and post-operation checklists daily; promptly report any deviations to the Production Supervisor and Maintenance Department.

Monitor UHT treatment parameters and Aseptic tanks at regular intervals (every 30 minutes) and accurately document all readings.

Identify abnormalities that may impact product safety and take immediate action, including temporary production stoppage, and escalate to the supervisor for further action.

Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for UHT treatment and Aseptic tank operations.

Perform Cleaning-In-Place (CIP) operations in accordance with approved production SOPs.

Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety requirements and personal hygiene standards.

Adhere to HACCP, GMP, and food safety procedures at all times.

Apply process knowledge to minimize product losses and reduce downtime during operations.

Operate within defined processing parameters as per SOPs and technical guidelines.

Carry out daily and weekly equipment care activities in accordance with SOP requirements.
Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Technology or a related field.

4+ years of experience in a dairy manufacturing or food processing environment.

Strong knowledge of CIP operations, including daily and weekly care of UHT and pasteurization lines.

Hands-on experience with Tetra Pak Master (TPM) systems and product mixing procedures.

Solid understanding and practical application of food safety and hygiene principles (HACCP, GMP).
