Operator – Gas Control Station (GCS) - Onshore

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Gas Control Station (GCS) equipment to ensure a safe, reliable, and uninterrupted gas supply.
• Monitor gas flow, pressure, volume, and consumption through control systems and field operations.
• Maintain optimal gas distribution and support load adjustments based on operational requirements and demand forecasts.
• Perform routine operational checks, inspections, gas testing, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Execute permit-to-work requirements and ensure compliance with all safety and isolation procedures.
• Prepare daily operational reports, logs, and shift handover documentation.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and control room teams to support efficient plant operations.
• Assist in emergency response situations and take appropriate operational actions during abnormal conditions.
• Support project and contractor activities while ensuring adherence to HSE standards and operating procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture and contribute to continuous operational improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Process Engineering, Electronics, Control Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• 6–7 years of operational experience within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or process industries.
• Experience working with gas control, distribution, processing, or similar operational facilities.
• Knowledge of DCS/SCADA systems and process monitoring environments.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations, permit-to-work systems, and operational safety procedures.
• Ability to analyze operational data and respond effectively to changing process conditions.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and operational reporting.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a shift-based environment.
