• Coordinate daily dispatching activities for freight and fleet management using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Utilize GPS and GIS technologies to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve delivery times.
• Manage shipping & receiving schedules, ensuring accurate data entry and timely processing of shipments via AS400 systems.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse teams, and customers through multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Support transportation planning by analyzing data related to supply chain flows, freight movements, and logistics operations to identify efficiencies.
• Assist with fleet management tasks, including tracking vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinating dispatching efforts for 3PL providers.
• Maintain detailed records of shipments, dispatch logs, incident reports, and other operational documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy. Qualifications
• Strong analysis skills with experience in transportation management systems like Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in GPS, GIS mapping tools, and transportation planning software to support route optimization and fleet tracking.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly over phone calls and written reports.
• Skilled in data entry with high attention to detail; familiarity with AS400, SyteLine, and other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
• Experience in freight coordination, shipping & receiving procedures, or logistics roles within a 3PL environment is advantageous.
• Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times.
• Basic typing skills combined with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively. Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
