OPICS Developer

For a well-known Islamic Bank in Bahrain, we are seeking an experienced Developer – OPICS . This role requires expert-level knowledge of OPICS and strong technical skills in SQL and .NET/C#. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in banking and treasury systems, with a proven track record of implementing and maintaining OPICS installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot OPICS Online and EOD batch tasks.
• Support business teams in maintaining static data across branch-specific and global OPICS screens.
• Capture and analyze error logs to resolve UI issues in daily BAU tasks.
• Document solution designs for new business requirements.
• Recreate business issues in UAT and coordinate with Finastra for resolution.
• Troubleshoot using key OPICS database tables across modules.
• Train users on new modules and features.
• Test and implement OPICS workarounds recommended by Finastra.
• Work with key screens/tables for DL, FX, FI, Repo, Swap, OTC, Caps & Floor.
• Handle Islamic Banking workflows (Sukuk, Wakala, Tawarruq, Murabaha).
• Generate and release text/swift confirmations and payments.
• Manage OPICS accounting events and associated setups.
• Conduct functional testing for OPICS upgrades and support UAT.
• Troubleshoot interface mechanisms (TCP/IP, SFTP, MQ).
• Create custom OPICS GRSS reports for business needs.
• Support upstream/downstream data issues with systems such as Equation, OPICS Risk, SWIFT Alliance, Reuters/Bloomberg, EDW.

Required Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (BE Computer Science and Engineering).
• Experience : 7–10 years overall, with 5+ years as a developer for Treasury products.
• Extensive experience with OPICS 4.9.x.
• Proven track record of OPICS implementation and maintenance.
• Detailed knowledge of Treasury/Capital market products.
• Strong SQL expertise (queries, reporting, database).
• Understanding of .NET/C# architecture.
• Knowledge of upstream/downstream workflows with Treasury applications.
• Experience with OPICS or similar Finastra products.
