Job Description Summary

  • The Welcome Desk Office Assistant position will be a year-round position that will include working through holidays when the University is closed.

  • This position is primarily responsible for providing customer service to students and/or parents, answering telephones and responding to general inquiries in the housing email inbox for our multiple welcome desk locations.

  • Additionally, this position calls for accurate data entry, maintaining confidential student files, assisting with department-wide events such as move-in, move-out and orientations.

  • Our ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be detail oriented and well organized, as well as an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Position will be Monday through Friday, 4pm to Midnight.

  • Work through holidays when the University is closed.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment while remaining detail oriented and well organized.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma (or GED) and two years of experience directly related to the job functions. Directly related college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

  • Perform accurate data entry.

  • Maintain confidential student files.

  • Assist with department‑wide events such as move‑in, move‑out and orientations.

This position requires a background check. In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check.
