Optical Receptionist

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a friendly and professional atmosphere.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or similar platforms.
  • Verify patient insurance information, process payments, and handle retail sales of optical products when applicable.
  • Manage patient check-in/check-out procedures, including collecting vital signs and updating medical records accurately.
  • Support clinical staff by preparing exam rooms, updating medical histories, and managing medical coding for billing purposes.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Handle incoming calls professionally, answer inquiries about services, and direct calls appropriately.
  • Contribute to inventory management of optical supplies and retail products, ensuring stock levels are maintained.

Qualifications

  • No optical experience necessary. We will train.
  • Background in retail sales or retail management enhances ability to assist customers effectively.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
