North Coast Optometry is a high-energy, patient-focused practice looking for an outgoing team member to join our optical department. No optical experience is required, we provide structured in-house training and support ABO certification for employees who want to grow in the industry.

This role is ideal for a man or woman who enjoys working face-to-face with people, enjoys fashion or style, and is excited by a sales-driven environment.

What Success Looks Like

• Building strong relationships that create loyal patients
• Helping patients purchase eyewear and annual contact lens supplies
• Confidently recommending products and lens options
• Maintaining high conversion from eye exams to eyewear purchases
• Creating a fun, personalized experience for every patient

Responsibilities

• Help patients select frames, lenses, and contact lenses
• Guide patients through a consultative sales process
• Ask questions about lifestyle, work, hobbies, and visual needs
• Explain lens options, insurance benefits, and pricing
• Answer phones and schedule appointments
• Organize inventory and maintain the optical area
• Assist with general office support and patient flow

• Prefer sitting behind a computer most of the day
• Feel uncomfortable with sales or asking clients lifestyle questions
• Struggle following a structured process or script
• Prefer low-energy or low-interaction work environments
