Optical Transmission Project Delivery Engineer

Job Summary

On behalf of Huawei, a world-renowned it and communications company, We are seeking a highly skilled Optical Transmission Project Delivery Engineer to support the deployment and delivery of advanced optical transmission solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Huawei optical transmission products, a solid understanding of DWDM/SDH/MSTP systems, and hands-on project delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Demonstrate in-depth familiarity with Huawei optical transmission products (such as the OptiX OSN series ) and related technologies and protocols .
2. Understand the principles and delivery processes of transmission systems, including DWDM, SDH, and MSTP .
3. Manage and execute optical transmission project delivery with a proven track record of successful deployments. (Experience in the Middle East region is preferred.)
4. Prepare and review technical documentation , ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
5. Communicate effectively in English for both technical discussions and documentation writing.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Engineering or a related technology field.

Technical & Business Skills

Candidates should demonstrate proficiency and experience in the following areas:

• Huawei Optical Transmission Products: OptiX OSN 9800/8800/6800/3500 series.
• Technologies & Architectures: DWDM, OTN, SDH, MSTP, ASON, GMPLS, ROADM, and WSON.
• Network Planning & Restoration: Wavelength planning, protection, and restoration mechanisms (e.g., SNCP, MSP, MSTP, OLP, DLP).
• Network Management Systems (NMS): U2000/U2020 configuration, service provisioning, and performance monitoring.
• Optical Engineering Skills: Optical power budget calculation, link loss analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Transmission Protocols: Layer 0/1 transmission protocols, OTUk/ODUk mapping, FEC, and tunable module configuration.
• Certifications: Holder of industry-recognized certifications such as HCIP-Transmission, HCIE-Transmission, or equivalent.

Preferred Experience

• Proven project delivery experience with Huawei optical transmission systems.
• Previous experience working in telecom projects in the Middle East region .
