Optician

Job Summary:

The Optician will assist in vision testing, help patients choose suitable lenses/frames, manage optical equipment, and ensure accurate dispensing of spectacles as per prescriptions

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct basic eye screenings and vision checks.
• Assist the optometrist/doctor during eye tests.
• Interpret prescriptions and recommend suitable lenses and frames.
• Fit, adjust, and repair spectacles for customers.
• Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and optical accessories.
• Manage billing, data entry, and daily reporting.
• Provide customers with guidance on eyewear care and usage.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper handling of optical equipment

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma in Optometry / Certified Optician course.
• Knowledge of lenses, frames, and optical measurements.
• Basic computer knowledge (billing and data entry).
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in an optical store or eye care centre is an advantage.
• Preference will be given to Male Candidates
