Join our private MD/OD office as an Optometrist, where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive eye care and enhancing patients’ visual health. This exciting position offers the opportunity to utilize your expertise in a patient-centered environment. You will be responsible for conducting thorough eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems, and recommending appropriate treatments or corrective lenses. Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed eye examinations using advanced diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and overall eye function
  • Diagnose and manage common and complex eye conditions, including those related to pediatrics and general ophthalmology
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and other vision aids, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options, fostering a positive patient experience through excellent customer service
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients with systemic conditions affecting ocular health
  • Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques to ensure best practices in patient care

Skills

  • Experience with optometry equipment and o experience to assist in lens fitting and visual correction solutions
  • Ability to provide compassionate patient care across all age groups, including pediatrics
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of medical records and vital signs
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in medical coding related to eye care procedures for billing accuracy
  • Excellent customer service skills combined with sales acumen to recommend appropriate products while maintaining ethical standards

Pay: $145,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
