Project Role: Oracle APEX Consultant
Project Role Description: We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Consultant with a strong background in developing and implementing Oracle APEX applications. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, and database technologies. The consultant will be responsible for the design, development, and support of Oracle APEX applications tailored to meet the needs of various business processes.

Technical Expertise

Must Have Skills:

3–5 years of experience in developing Oracle APEX applications.
Experience with Oracle APEX versions 18.x, 19.x, 20.x, and beyond.
Experience in Oracle APEX versions upgrade.
Strong exposure in migrating tabular forms to interactive grid.
Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, and database concepts.
Ability to write efficient, complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
Proficiency in web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON.
Experience in customizing Oracle APEX themes, templates, and dynamic actions.
Expertise in Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19c.
Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server (preferred).
Experience with Oracle APEX application optimization and database performance tuning.
Ability to integrate reporting tools like BI Publisher, Oracle Analytics, Jasper, Crystal, or AOP with APEX applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with business users and team members.
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Good To Have Skills:

Oracle Forms & Reports knowledge to support migration to Oracle APEX.
Power BI visualization and integration with Oracle APEX.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
Oracle 23AI database – vector search.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development: Design, develop, and enhance Oracle APEX applications; customize existing applications to improve usability, performance, and scalability; translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions.
Database Integration: Work with Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19c and above to manage back-end integrations; develop PL/SQL procedures, functions, and triggers; design efficient data models and ensure optimal performance.
Application Maintenance: Maintain and support existing Oracle APEX applications; troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis; monitor application performance for scalability and reliability.
User Experience: Design user-friendly, responsive, and modern interfaces using Oracle APEX Universal Theme and CSS/HTML; collaborate with business users to ensure a seamless experience.
Security Management: Implement security best practices in Oracle APEX applications (Authentication, Authorization, Session Management); ensure compliance with security standards such as OWASP.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for Oracle APEX applications; document and communicate best practices, development standards, and workflows.

Educational Qualification

MCA, B.E, M.Sc (CS) or any equivalent degree with relevant work experience.
