Role Overview

Oracle Fusion Finance Functional Lead (GL) will lead the design, implementation, and support of General Ledger (GL) and related Finance modules in Oracle Fusion SaaS. The role requires strong functional expertise, stakeholder management, and ownership of end-to-end finance solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Leadership (GL Focus)

• Lead implementation and support of Oracle Fusion Financials – General Ledger (GL)

• Configure and manage:

  • Chart of Accounts
  • Ledger setup
  • Financial reporting structures

• Ensure alignment with business financial processes and statutory requirements

Solution Design & Implementation

  • Gather and analyze business requirements for Finance processes
  • Design end-to-end solutions across GL and integrated modules (AP, AR, FA, CM)
  • Lead CRP cycles, SIT, UAT, and deployment activities
  • Ensure best practices in Oracle SaaS Finance configuration

Integration & Cross-Module Coordination

• Coordinate with:

  • AP, AR, FA, CM teams
  • Integration (OIC/Technical teams)

• Ensure smooth data flow and reconciliation across modules

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with:

  • Financial policies
  • Audit requirements
  • Regulatory standards (local/global)

• Maintain documentation (FSD, BRD, configuration docs)

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as primary functional SPOC for Finance stakeholders
  • Handle business workshops, requirement sign-offs, and issue resolution
  • Provide regular updates to program leadership

Support & AMS (if applicable)

  • Manage production support, issue resolution, and enhancements
  • Ensure SLA adherence and service quality
  • Support month-end / year-end closing activities

Required Skills & Experience

8–12 years of experience in Oracle Finance (Fusion preferred / EBS acceptable)

  • Strong hands-on experience in:
  • Oracle Fusion General Ledger (GL)
  • Financial reporting and consolidations

Good understanding of : AP, AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets

Experience in :

  • End-to-end implementation / AMS support
  • Business process mapping and functional design

Knowledge of:

  • Financial accounting principles
  • SaaS-based ERP environment (Oracle Fusion)

Strong stakeholder management and client interaction experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Fusion Financials Certification (GL preferred)
  • Experience in Middle East / Saudi Arabia projects
  • Knowledge of local statutory compliance (optional but preferred)

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
