Oracle Cloud Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Oracle Cloud solutions, including IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and SaaS (Software as a Service) offerings.
• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure utilizing services such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and other public cloud providers.
• Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell to streamline deployment processes.
• Oversee the integration of cloud services with existing IT systems, ensuring seamless interoperability with VMware, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, and virtualization platforms like Citrix and Rackspace.
• Implement security best practices by managing identity and access management (IAM) solutions, system hardening techniques, and VPN configurations to safeguard cloud environments.
• Collaborate with development teams on microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, web services, and application development using Java, Python, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or Go.
• Monitor system performance and scalability of distributed systems while managing IT infrastructure to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Drive DevOps automation initiatives to improve continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading cloud architecture projects with a focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Google Cloud Platform or similar public clouds.
• Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices design principles, and RESTful API development.
• Hands-on expertise in managing virtualization technologies such as VMware, OpenStack, Citrix, Rackspace or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash shell scripting, PowerShell, Python or Ruby for automation tasks.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security practices including IAM solutions, system hardening techniques, VPNs and network security protocols.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for scalable application deployment.
• Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle databases; knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus.
• Strong background in computer science fundamentals related to operating systems (Linux/Windows), distributed systems architecture and IT infrastructure management.
• Ability to work within Agile development environments while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language for stakeholders at all levels.

Pay: $145,488.23 - $158,351.42 per year
