Oral Surgeon

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgeon to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various surgical procedures, with a focus on pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care, maintaining high standards of medical documentation, and adhering to HIPAA regulations. The Surgeon will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

• Perform surgical procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize medical imaging and maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
• Implement aseptic techniques and infection control measures in the surgical environment.
• Collaborate with dental staff in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance patient care.
• Stay current with dental terminology and advancements in general dentistry practices.
• Provide education to patients regarding their treatment options and post-operative care.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant medical regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid state license to practice dentistry.
• Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry, oral surgery techniques, and general dentistry practices.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, dental fabrication processes, and medical documentation standards.
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively.
• Experience in a dental clinic or office setting is highly desirable.
