Oral Surgery Assistant

Oral Surgery assistant needed for 2 Doctor Oral Surgery practice located in Hopewell Junction, NY. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 9AM to 3pm.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in surgical procedures, both local anesthesia and IV sedation
• Assisting in Dentoalveolar Surgery, Dental Implant Surgery, Hard & Soft tissue Grafting, Sinus Augmentation, Ridge Augmentation, Sinus Lifts, Experience with All on Four Implant Surgery a Plus.
• Tray set-ups
• Professionally greet patients, record vitals
• Assisting in consultations with doctors taking notes
• Provide clear and thorough post-op instructions to patients and escorts
• Taking digital radiographs & cone beams
• Keeping operatories, sterilization areas, and surgical equipment maintained and well stocked.

Skills needed: Thorough Knowledge of Computers is essential for this position.

Previous experience in coordinating implant therapy between specialist and referring doctor is helpful.

Good Communication Skills are essential.

Salary Based on Experience.
