Oral Surgery Assistant

Seeking oral surgery assistant for a part-time employment at our multi-specialty practice to work on Saturdays. Our practice is located in Alexandria, VA.

Applicant should be X-ray certified and comfortable taking periapicals and panoramic x-rays. Our office does use a cone beam CT and we have training available for this.

Dental assistants with extensive oral surgery experience are encouraged to apply

Other responsibilities include:

- Preparing and laying out surgical trays and equipment in preparation for procedures.

- Assisting surgeons during surgical procedures with local anesthesia and sedation.

- Sterilization of instruments.

- Ability to work well and cooperate with others in a fast-paced work environment.

- Cleaning work areas at the end of the day.

- Reviewing post-operative instructions with patients prior to and following procedures.

- Assisting with chart completion during exams.

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Saturday. Patient hours: 8:00am-5:00pm.

Expected hours: 8 to 10 hours

Experience:

• Oral Surgery Assisting (minimum 1 year)

License/Certification:

• X-Ray Certification (Required)
