As we continue to grow, we are seeking an Order Management Specialist II.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking an Order Management Specialist II that will interface with customers, brokers and internal functions (Sales, Traffic, IT, and other departments) to facilitate customer orders from entry, to shipping and invoicing. This role will support Sales Directors in directly representing Twin City Foods to its customers with the focus primarily on U.S. Export.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required:
- 3- 5 years of experience in customer service-related position, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Prior experience working with Infor or other ERP system preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of Ocean export.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Two years college preferred.
- Interpersonal skills are key to this position in representing the company to customers.

- Must be adept in MS Excel and Word as well as having a working knowledge of company systems.
- Able to professionally communicate verbally and in writing.
The following essential functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Ability to sit at an office desk with sufficient vision and physical dexterity to use PC desk top system for up to eight hours.
- Ability to use standard functions of office equipment (PC, calculator, fax, printer, scanner, copier, smart phone, etc.).
- Ability to use and handle paper files and reports, weighing up to 20 pounds, for use in day-to-day job functions, analysis and problem solving.
- Set up new and maintain existing customer database accounts and price lists.
- Create sales orders that are received by telephone, email, fax, and EDI systems. Verify pricing on the orders. Determine availability and location of product.
- Communicate and coordinate with customer product shortages, other issues, or changes.
- Communicate with Traffic Department about changes regarding delivery dates.
- Refer customer grievances regarding product quality to the designated departments for investigation and resolution.
- Create invoices and send them to the customer either electronically or by mail.
- Create or gather/verify additional documentation if customer requires.
- Assist Sales Directors as needed with information, reports, and customer contact.
- Track contract and shipment balances.
- Fill in for or assist other Order Management Team Members as needed.
- Negotiate and track container contracts with Ocean Freight lines.
- Track ocean carrier cut off dates for maintaining system promise date fields.
- Identify location of approved product and inform carriers (Back up to Logistics).
- Secure transportation to port and maintain communication regarding above – (Back up to Logistics).
- Track facility production schedules and inform carriers of availability.
- Obtain bookings with container lines corresponding to customer order requests.
- Collect and provide all necessary information regarding the ocean freight documentation for the customer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
