Order Picker Forklift Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring that all products are handled safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including the use of various equipment and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and manage order picking processes.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to load and unload materials.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
• Follow OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize order fulfillment processes.
• Conduct shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.
• Maintain organization within the warehouse by properly storing materials and supplies.
• Assist in inventory management by reporting discrepancies or issues with stock levels.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse distribution or as an order picker is preferred.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and materials handling techniques.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Experience with construction-related tasks is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
