JOB BRIEF


Order Planner is responsible for ensuring that the company’s orders are fulfilled on time and work closely with the Purchasing team, production team, Sale, Product Engineer.


ROLE OBJECTIVE


This position will be the communication center for sales, PM, AE for all orders status. The Order Planner is a diverse position covering the planning, scheduling, releasing, and tracking of all orders from customer PO to ship out the finished product through the manufacturing department: Purchasing, Warehouse, Integration, QC and Shipping. This position actively participates in initiatives to improve overall process and performance. In-depth training to be provided.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Maintain a completed production scheduling system that provides an in-depth plan on production requirements, schedule, and workforce size using the best combination of SAP, Excel, email and all available tools.
  • Calculate lead times and commit customers PO’s delivery dates within the defined timeline.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse and Production teams to develop and maintain standard timeline for acknowledging customers’ Purchase Orders. (Delivery date, item requirement, quality, etc.).
  • Communicate & provide feedback to Production Supervisor on how to balance production work to optimize production loading base on cost and production and material lead time.
  • Maintain & provide continual improvement of the planning and reporting process.
  • Prepare and update forecast and Revenues reports for management team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of projects, individuals and the company.
  • Ensure adherence to the company’s Quality Management System.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:



  • High School or AA degree in business related courses desired.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP/SAP or other similar system is a plus.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience or training in production planning in the computer industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Excel; Pivot Table, Vlookup, Sumif is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
