Role Purpose
The Director of Organization Development (OD) is responsible for designing, leading, and implementing organization-wide strategies that enhance effectiveness, culture, leadership capability, and overall performance. This role partners closely with senior leadership to align organizational structure, talent, and culture with business strategy and long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
Organization Development Strategy

Develop and execute the organization’s OD strategy aligned with business objectives.

Lead enterprise-wide initiatives related to organizational design, change management, culture transformation, and workforce effectiveness.

Diagnose organizational challenges using data, assessments, and stakeholder input, and design targeted interventions.
Change Management

Design and lead change management frameworks for major transformations (e.g., restructuring, digital transformation, mergers, growth initiatives).

Coach senior leaders and managers on leading change and managing resistance.

Ensure change initiatives are sustainable and embedded into daily operations.
Culture & Employee Engagement

Drive initiatives that strengthen organizational culture, values, and employee engagement.

Analyze engagement survey data and translate insights into actionable OD initiatives.

Promote inclusive leadership behaviors and collaboration across the organization.
Organizational Design & Effectiveness

Lead organizational design and workforce planning efforts to ensure optimal structures, roles, and capabilities.

Partner with business leaders to improve team effectiveness, decision-making, and accountability.

Establish metrics to measure organizational health and effectiveness.
Stakeholder Partnership

Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and business unit heads.

Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent, Learning, HRBP, Rewards) to deliver integrated solutions.

Manage external consultants and OD vendors as needed.
People & Budget Management

Lead and develop the OD team, providing coaching, direction, and performance management.

Manage the OD budget and ensure cost-effective delivery of programs.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

10+ years of progressive experience in organization development, HR, or change management roles.

Proven experience leading large-scale organizational change and transformation initiatives.
-
Strong background in leadership development, organizational design, and culture change.

Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing at the highest levels.
