Organizational Change Manager

Position Description

The Organizational Change Manager (OCM) will be a highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic, emphasis on continuous learning and improvement, and excellent communication, and facilitation skills. This role requires high energy and strong passion for teamwork when supporting the people side of change and enables them to be their best every day to the roles they fill. This position reports to the Manager, Enterprise Organizational Change.

To achieve OCM success criteria such as strong customer focus, defined business processes, development, and execution of effective OCM plan, effective training, continuous improvements, and alignment to SCL mission and vision, we are looking for a strategic and hands-on team player who can personally drive and execute the following roles and responsibilities:

• Gather and evaluate information from multiple sources for planning and readiness enablement, including interpreting high-level information, abstracting from low-level information to a general understanding, and evaluating behaviors to perceive the underlying needs of the team and/or individual.

• Perform and support readiness assessments and stakeholder analyses to quickly and accurately identify strengths, risks, gaps, and opportunities to facilitate individual and group success to inform mitigation strategies to help individuals move from current to future state when assign to priority initiatives/efforts.

• Provide guidance and advice to a broad range of department leadership and other stakeholders on how to leverage strategic change management principles.

• Develop and execute documented change management plans with specific actions and deliverables such as formal communications strategy, staff training, reference/collateral documentation, sponsorship roadmap, etc.

• Help determine, and in some cases have lead responsibility for collecting and reporting on appropriate metrics to measure change management progress, reinforce behavior, and identify issues and needed adjustments.

• Based on defined change management success criteria for assigned projects, directly support practitioners and leaders in creating and executing concrete action plans to improve change readiness and change adoption rates in people, processes, and technologies across stakeholder groups.

• Serve as coach on projects with change management leads provided by the business that need additional support directly from OCM team on tools, resources, and best practices.

• Development and delivery of standardized OCM training curriculum for staff and sponsors as appropriate.

• Provide other special OCM staffing support to the General Manager’s Office as needed.

• Lastly, this role is required to manage change process utilizing change management framework/methodology.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

In addition to the skills and experience mentioned below, a successful applicant will have experience that reflects a commitment to creating fair and equitable outcomes and has:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., industrial and organizational development/psychology, public policy, public administration, business administration) or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum five years of experience managing complex organizational change projects and providing planning strategic recommendations for executive management or elected officials.

Desired Qualifications - You will be successful if you have the following experience, skills, and abilities:

• Strong change management experience within the following delivery areas: strategic change, organizational development, business transformation, communications, training, and leadership development.
• Three (3) years of experience of developing and applying change methodology to large, complex service delivery initiatives and organizational environments.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated experience presenting to an organization’s senior leadership.
• Ability to build trust and engagement across teams and organizational structures, including engagement with all levels of an organization, including executive, management, and front-line staff.
• Seasoned group facilitator with demonstrated experience managing conflict among diverse stakeholders and audiences.
• Ability to move easily between leading, supporting, designing, developing, implementing roles.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, be self-directed and hands-on.
• Demonstrated experience using data and performance metrics to inform, measure, report out on progress and make necessary course corrections.

Additional Information

The full salary range for this position is $54.60 to $81.93 per hour.
