Orthodontic Clinical Assistant – Patient-Focused Practice

What You’ll Do
- Provide chairside clinical support during orthodontic procedures
- Capture high-quality diagnostic records including radiographs and clinical photographs
- Maintain accurate, thorough patient documentation and charting
- Review and update health histories to ensure safe, customized care
- Prepare operatories for treatment and uphold strict sterilization protocols
- Assist with appliance placement, adjustments, and removals
- Guide patients on oral hygiene techniques and appliance care instructions
- Coordinate effectively with doctors and team members to maintain smooth daily flow
Qualifications & Experience
- Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license (required)
- At least 2 years of hands-on orthodontic assisting experience (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (completion of dental assisting program preferred)
- Comfortable with practice management and clinical software systems (experience with Dolphin is helpful)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently
- Clear, professional communication skills with both children and adults
- Working knowledge of dental documentation and coding standards
