Orthodontic Assistant

Vivid Orthodontics is a growing, privately owned orthodontic practice in Jacksonville, FL. We are looking for an Orthodontic Assistant who can serve our family of patients in a friendly and personable manner. The ideal candidate has experience in orthodontics, has critical thinking skills, is a team player and takes initiative. We value team members who are positive, hardworking, and proactive. Duties:
- Assist the orthodontist in providing patient care and treatment
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take dental x-rays and scans on iTero scanner
- Assist with orthodontic procedures such as bracket placement, adjustments, and removals
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care for orthodontic appliances
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using electronic medical record systems

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- Certification in dental radiography preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with medical documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
