We are a growing Pediatric and Orthodontic dental practice in Poway looking for an experienced Orthodontic Assistant ready to transition into a Treatment Coordinator role.
This position is ideal for someone who already understands orthodontic treatment and patient flow, and wants to grow into a patient-facing leadership role presenting treatment and coordinating orthodontic care.
We are looking for a friendly, confident, organized team member who enjoys working with children, teens, and parents while helping patients start the orthodontic treatment they need.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate orthodontic new patient exams and consultations
- Present orthodontic treatment plans to patients and parents
- Explain treatment timelines, procedures, and expectations
- Discuss financial options and payment plans
- Schedule treatment starts and coordinate patient care
- Work closely with the orthodontist and clinical team
- Ensure a smooth and positive patient experience from consultation to treatment start
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Orthodontic Assistant experience
- Strong understanding of orthodontic procedures and terminology
- Experience with patient communication and education
- Comfortable discussing treatment plans and financial arrangements
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Positive, professional, and team-oriented personality
- Experience with dental software (Dolphin, Eaglesoft) is a plus
Preferred Experience
- Orthodontic assisting
- Dental treatment coordinating
- Pediatric dental office experience
- Case presentation and patient education
