Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator

Position Overview:

The Treatment Coordinator plays a key role in supporting patients throughout their treatment journey. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a solid understanding of medical/dental terminology. The ideal candidate should have the ability to build trust while guiding patients through treatment options, financial arrangements and scheduling while working closely with both patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and support patients, ensuring they feel informed and comfortable with their treatment plan.
• Take xrays, photographs and intraoral scans
• Educate patients about their treatment options, procedures, and review financial/insurance information.
• Follow up with patients regarding treatment acceptance and financial arrangements
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with dental or medical staff to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes as needed.
• Provide administrative support within the office, including handling phone calls and managing correspondence.
• Stay updated on medical terminology and office procedures to enhance patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dental office required (treatment coordinator experience strongly preferred).
• Familiarity with dental terminology, insurance and treatment planning.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in dental practice management software, including scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and patient care is highly valued.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
